This unit contains a wide array of effects and can be controlled via the foot pedal switches for easy no-hands operation. Bottom line, if you want a footswitch effects pedal tailor-made for live vocalists, this is your unit!
Customer Reviewsfrom Tampa, FL May 14, 2012 Music Background: Hobbyist, Singer-Songwriter Great for Multiple Voice TonesI daisey chain the Create XT after the Harmony G XT. Both pedals run into the effects loop of a Pod X3. I needed some extra voice tones and the Create XT delivered. The preset style sounds are great on their own and each effect can be tweaked as needed. If you are looking for an easy to use, great sounding voice pedal, the Create XT is your answer.from ROK April 1, 2010 Music Background: Hobbyist Solution to all my vocal issues.I'll keep this review simple.1. Definately sturdy and portable. 2. Half of the effects are useless but the other half are awesome! 3. For the most part quality of the vocal effects are good. 4. It says 100 presets but a lot of them are similar with a little tweek. 5. I bought it to get the studio effects into my live performance... 6. Works great for live and studio recording. 7. No latency issues. 8. A little hard to get around... but you'll get use to it. 9. All the buttons are sturdy and firm (not loose and wobbly) 10. Highly recommend it if you fall under the hip/hop, electronic, r&b genre of music. Only reason I gave it a 4.5 was because it takes getting use to... to navigate around the presets and fx that they have. Also it's more like 50 presets... because the other 50 are similar with a little bit of tweeking done to them. Overall... I recommend this product. Satisfied with it so far. If anything else comes up.. I'll keep you updated. Also I'm currently out of country... I think sweetwater has the fastest delivery time that i've seen. Also came with some magzines and nice wrapping... oh and some candy. LOL. Sweetwater customer service was awesome as well... kept me updated and well informed... and responses were fast. Thanks. from Grand Rapids, MI December 26, 2011 Music Background: Pro Musician Great If You Run Your Own SoundThis is a great tool for any singers that run sound from the stage. I like the fact that I can now switch from a nice reverb/delay on a slow song to a flange/delay on a Hendrix tune, and then just a good ole slap-back delay for the next tune complete with an overdrive amp sound for effect in some parts. With the expander pedal, it opens up a bunch more possibilities; I can use the same setting for 5 or 6 songs in a row and have them sound totally different. My first unit showed up broken, but Sweetwater got me a new one right away. The second one works fine, except I have to find a "sweet spot" for the AC adapter cord. If I can't get the plug just right, the unit tends to switch out of the setting chosen and make up its own setting. I have been in the middle of a cool vocal intro with a haunting reverse-reverb effect and had the pedal switch to a flange/delay effect in the middle. I'm still working to get this issue fixed. That said, I'm still happy with the pedal, and it does a lot of great things for my live sound that I couldn't do before. The verb is awesome, the delays sound great, and the special effects actually are effects I can use, not just "Make Your Voice Sound Like Mickey Mouse/Darth Vader." Lots of great options if you're a singer that likes to work outside the verb/delay box, but also plenty of great options for a more "tame" sound, too. from SoCal February 12, 2012 Music Background: Professional MehTC-Helicon always sounds pretty good. That was never the problem. For someone who plays guitar operating a Boss GT-10, this Create XT, and obviously sings at the same time I need great operability. I'll give this a 2 for what I'm used to in category of user friendly. There is a slight delay between the A and B presets as well and no spill over effect(meaning if you have a delay, reverb, etc on A and switch to B the effect will be cut off). The effects can be tricky to tweak, not very customizable, and there is no up or down for the bank. Hold down the A/B button and then tap the same button to only move upward in banks (meaning if you're on bank 2 you have to go all the way through the rest of the banks to get to bank 1). You can adjust the number of banks so you're not sitting there tapping away between songs, however still inconvenient. The pre is HOT! So hey that's good for warming up your mic as it does very well but if you're not careful you'll be blowing out people's ears with feedback before you even sing a note haha! Hey I'm not too picky just a bit spoiled but actually more needy because of what I do so if all you need is a couple of FX this may work for you as long as you fully understand it, learn the pre really well for gigs, and show up really prepared with it. Because as I said it does have clean sound. But otherwise you'll look like an off beat tap dancer shuffling through the FX and sound funky using tools you have to learn how to control while squealing with feedback haha! Expected more. Oh well. Nothing wrong with trying more gear :) Cheerz to the infinite search! from Toronto May 27, 2010 Music Background: Professional Musician/Producer Sounds Great, requires a PhD to operateUnfortunately, I don't have time to write a lengthy review because I have wasted so many hours of my life trying to program this thing. It is a NIGHTMARE to operate.TC has taken the cake for user unfriendliness, trying to come up with a new paradigm instead of subscribing to the tried and true methods of organizing presets and programming preset banks. In the process, they have insulted the intelligence of singers by trying to "dumb it down" so much, and confused engineers (like myself) who are used to particular methods of organization that every other effects company on the planet have been using for years. Does it sound great? You bet. But the functionality and editing functions are limited and confusing, and the live operation is anything but convenient. Oh, and the manual sucks, too. from Bangor PA July 28, 2010 Music Background: Engineer 30+ years GarbageInput sensitivity is not compatable with TC Correct or Double. Therefore you cannot chain them together. You have to really drive the input compared to the others. Also it buzzes inline with the others. Their are some serious problems with this unit. Beware I had two of them and they both had the same exact problem. Stay away until they fix it.
