VT series Vox's Valvetronix series fuses high-quality modeling technology with the acclaimed Valve Reactor tube technology. The VT series gives you twenty-two amp models that range from the latest high-gain types to hard-to-find boutique and vintage amps, together with a full complement of effects, covers the needs of a wide variety of styles and performance techniques. Presets Sixty-six preset programs are also provided, including 22 song programs that simulate the guitar sounds of famous guitarists, so even beginners who aren't familiar with guitar amps can start enjoying serious guitar sound right away. The VT series is available from an entry-level model to units that can stand up to professional use on stage or in the studio. Valve Reactor circuit The VOX Valve Reactor analog original power amp circuit actually has the same power amp circuit as a full-tube amp, using a 12AX7 miniature triode to reproduce a distinctive tube amp sound unattainable by digital technology. In other words, it replicates aspects that have an important influence on the sound of a tube amp, such as the power amp's class A/AB operation and the interaction of the power stage with the speaker, thus reproducing not only the response of the original amp's power amp circuitry, but also the power amp's distortion as well as the nuances and subjective sound pressure of a full-tube amp. Since there's a power level control that allows you to decrease just the volume without affecting the tonal character, you can adjust the volume while enjoying the same sense of drive as when the master volume is at maximum. This means that you can obtain the exact same sound even when you're unable to play at maximum volume, such as when you're at home. Vox VT-30 30-watt Modeling Guitar Amplifier Features:
The Vox VT-30 puts an amazing array of amps and effects in one amazing-sounding, affordable unit!

ReviewsFirs amp I've bought in awhile.
by Todd Tesla(yes, my last name is Tesla) from New Haven, CT.
Man, I have this amp on la-a-way right now but I go and play it every other day at guitar center, ill own it in 5 days, I tried ever amp 400.00 and lower, and I wanted tube, even if it was part tube. ... read more [+]and this amp delivers for what I am doing right now, which is writing music and getting used to playing rhythm and singing. This baby sounds better than great, and im old fashioned, I havent even tried the modeling, meaning the built in effects, Ive just been bypassing them. I was just looking for something to play open mics with, and something that a drummer could hear (granted ill prob have to point it right at him, but when i cross the bridge that I will be playing and practicing with a drummer, Id love to trade up to the 100 watt combo. I even heard a guy maxing out the 15 watt version and I was impressed.. vox rules. close [-]

I can't say enough good about this amp. Of all the modeling amps on the market, it's got the most organic sound and feel. Big, full, round, warm tone from the 10" speaker, built in attenuator (a godse... read more [+]nd), and great built in effects. Big improvement over the earlier AD series. In addition to it's great sound and low price, the build quality of this amp is impeccable. I can't find any flaws whatsoever. I play a lot of crunchy 70's style metal and this amp is PERFECT for that sound, as well as blues, jazz, rockabilly, country death metal, punk, glam, emo, screamo, and whatever else you want to throw at it.September 7, 2009 Music Background: Worshipper at the altars of Frehley and Hetfield. One thing I have to say-learn to use the attenuator on the back. It's the key to unlocking the real tone potential of this amp. close [-] Too bad other modeling amps get all the attention

I've owned the solid state Fender Princeton, an all-tube VC series Crate, and a little Line 6 amp... This amp not only replaces them all - it surpasses them by a significant margin... the key features... read more [+] that set this amp apart from everything else in the field: A large degree of effect independence - Reverb is always completely separate, most of the other effects can be applied independently. Comparable Line 6 products can't do anything similar. The power attenuator alone is deal maker - Makes your 30 watt (and a BIG 30 at that) into a tiny practice amp -- fully cranked tone at manageable volumes. Then, for the purists, bypass effects and work directly with the amp models (again - comparably priced Line 6 amps don't do this very well)... The VOX "Fender" is a better "Fender" than my "Fender"... I swear, that little 12ax7 glowing in there is working some magic... I don't think there is any chance you will find a better sounding, more versatile amp for the money... Tiny gripes? Leveraging effects isn't the most intuitive I've ever seen (Read the manual - it's short, and makes the task easy.) The chrome everywhere looks a little cheesy -- But then VOX can't have folks mistaking their <$300 amps for their over $1K amps, can they? close [-]

Marcos SanchezAs a guitarist, I understand how difficult finding that next great amp can be. However, when I heard a guitar played through the Vox Valvetronix Series, I was absolutely blown away, and immediately said to myself, "THAT'S my next amp!" With the innovative design by Vox in which they have put an actual tube in the power section, Vox has finally gotten amp simulation right!! These are the best-sounding modeling combo amps I've EVER heard. Stupid Good Value

First and foremost - void the warranty, crack that sucker open and put in a better speaker. It will transform the tone. Make sure it is a very efficient speaker, because the stock one is 4 ohms, and a... read more [+]n 8 ohm speaker will cut the watts in half, but mine is still more than adequate with an 8 ohm Eminence Ragin Cajun. It kicks ass and the effects are great. Very limited adjustment options, and no real bass response, but it is so lightweight and easy to take anywhere, and plenty loud enough for the average rock/blues band practice or jam. Also - takes pedals well. Use that boutique overdrive and you have a dandy practice workhorse with effects built in. close [-]
