A natural-sounding voice monitoring solution The range of VoiceSolo personal vocal monitors all employ a custom designed ICT true point source driver to reproduce the human voice in the most intelligible and natural way. The rugged cast aluminum enclosure offers multiple mounting options using intelligently designed adapters that make setup with standard microphone stands a simple and quick task. By employing an ICT point source driver, an efficiently designed cast aluminum case and a BASH 150-watt amplifier, VoiceSolo VSM-300 XT delivers an intelligible, yet natural vocal sound. The vocal reproduction doesn't compromise VSM-300 XT's reproduction of any other source you want to monitor. Flexible connections and complete control The VSM-300 XT's front panel allows dedicated control of the mic input, the unique Voice Shape filter, line level, EQ controls and master volume. The full complement of control allows you to create your perfect monitor mix. VSM-300 XT includes a floor based I/O box that provides connections for any complexity of monitor mix. The I/O box includes a mic input, stereo instrument and aux. Additionally, the I/O box includes pass-thrus of each input for sending direct sound to a Front-of House engineer. To facilitate system expansion, the I/O box also includes a sub-output and a stereo link output creating a stereo system by employing another VSM-300 XT or VSM-200 XT. For simple setups, VSM-300 XT has separate mic and line inputs on the back panel. The mic input includes pad and phantom power. Portable and versatile Your monitoring needs can vary by venue, the size of your group and the level of your performance or practice. VSM-300 XT can be use in numerous mounting positions including the highly practical method of integrating VoiceSolo into your boom mic-stand, saving stage space. We're a small club cover band. I bought one to check out "more me" - the other members were insanely jealous and now we have four. I bought one of these about a 10 months ago and have been using and enjoying it several nights a week since then.August 30, 2009 Music Background: Pro musician since 1969 The first one I bought smoked and blew the 2nd night I used it, but I contacted... read more [+] TC Helicon and they quickly exchanged it for a brand new unit. No problem. I couldn't ask for more. The second one has performed flawlessly since then. I agree with the other reviewer who said that this monitor probably wouldn't cut it in a loud rock band, but for any other application, it's great. I presently play in a country cover band, a light pop crossover trio and a bluegrass group, and the VoiceSolo has made my life a whole lot easier. I never need to worry about the sometimes dubious stage monitor mix. I run my voice and my acoustic guitar through it with no problem. And on a few occasions have even run my Strat through it and directly into the main board without an amp. I give it a 4.5 rating only because I wish it would handle a little more low end at higher volume. But for what it is, it's great. Don't pass it up at the reduced price. close [-] great little monitor for vocals

The monitor fits very well into the tight confines of night club stage areas and the drummer can adjust the volume level as needed.July 6, 2009 Music Background: live sound engineer, performing musician I admit I am afraid to run instruments through it because the little speaker... well, I just do not know if it can handle the loud low frequencies. We did run an acoustic bass guitar through the little monitor at an acoustic gig and it worked very well in that setting. I love the fact that the box is made out of metal--VERY sturdy. There is a handle built right in for picking it up. It has a great little break-out box with all sorts of connections. The shape of the box allows you to orient it several ways without even using a stand. Compared to the Mackie, I feel the TC Hlicon is better built and more useful. Everyone who has sat in front of this monitor at the drums said they can hear the vocals very well. A number of the drummers who have used it are also vocalists and they said they can hear themselves better than they ever had before. I thought it was a pretty good endorsement. I would buy more of them as the need arose, without question. close [-]
