RSS Digital Stage Units provide I/O, so the V-Mixing system is available in a variety of configurations to meet your needs. Powerful M-400 Console
When you sit behind the M-400 digital mixing console, you have access to everything you need. RSS designed the M-400 to be intuitive to control, and added a beautiful full-color TFT display to give you the ultimate in visual feedback while you're working. You'll use the M-400's 24 smooth faders, rich channel edit section, and full-on system/utility panel to mix and tweak sound to perfection - buttons have been color coded and organized to enhance your workflow. The M-400 itself is a potent 48-channel mixer with 16 buses, channel and bus DSP, four stereo FX processors, four graphic EQs, built-in stereo recording and playback, and built-in multi-channel split port. The translation? This is one mighty console that's designed to give you all the tools you need to propel your live mixing - and overall sound - to that elite next level.

Save Your Settings and Instantly Recall Them
Because this is a digital system, you'll enjoy all the benefits digital systems offer. Unarguably, topping that list is the ability to change scenes instantly from event to event. Whether you're a busy house of worship with multiple services, rehearsals, performances, and events happening week to week, or you're a touring professional who wants the perfect layout to control each song, you need a digital console to manage all of your needs - instantly. Push a button to call up a scene and you'll see the faders, effects, routing, and parameters return exactly where you had them. The M-400 can handle 300 different scenes, giving you plenty of room to grow. You can also conveniently load and save your setups using PC software.

A Wealth of I/O to Meet Your Needs
This particular RSS V-Mixing System gathers its I/O from one S-1608 Digital Stage Unit that provides 16 inputs and 8 outputs. This I/O, combined with the M-400's ten-in, and ten-out onboard I/O delivers an impressive 26 inputs and 18 outputs total. Place your S-1608 anywhere on stage, then control it remotely with the M-400. Because everything connects and communicates via discrete and inexpensive Cat5e cable (not included), you can put your I/O anywhere you need it, without the concern of large, unsightly cable snakes.

Premium Sound Quality
With the M-400 V-Mixing System, you'll maintain 24-bit audio from the stage to the splits and back to the stage. While the premium preamps on stage provide the highest possible sound quality and intelligibility, its Cat5e connection system (cable not included) eliminates the high frequency losses inherent in analog snakes. The M-400 boasts onboard digital processing, channel DSP, and routing to eliminate any chance for buzzes from extra cabling and analog to digital conversion losses, and built-in 24-bit recording ensures you capture your events in top quality. You can even use Digital Split for no-loss transmissions to monitoring, recording, or broadcast positions. Bus and Main LR return over Cat5e enables a complete digital signal path back to the stage.

Perfect for Installations, Compact Enough for the Road
When you think of an installed central console, the image of a huge desk may come to mind - the kind of desk that you don't plan to move, and couldn't move alone even if you wanted. The V-Mixing System may well redefine this image. The M-400 console weighs in at a mere 43 pounds, 11 ounces - a fraction of the weight of most large analog desks, yet it offers even more power. Using compact Digital Stage Units for I/O (an S-1608 weighs under ten pounds!) and lightweight Cat5 cable (not included), you have a system that's extremely portable - ripe for the road, and just as perfect for houses of worship, live concert venues, large theaters, and more. Use it inside, take it outside - the RSS V-Mixing system is ready to follow the sound.

Ideal for Users of All Levels of Experience
Whether you're a pro who wants to get into the system's deepest functions right away, or a house of worship, school, or theater relying on users of all levels of experience, the V-Mixing System shines due to its easy onboard help system. There's a full library of audio tutorials built-in, so you can take yourself through beginning to more advanced audio functions and applications on the system. What's more, when you press the convenient "Help" button at any moment, it will pull up a help menu. When you press the help button in combination with any other button, an explanation of that button will pop up on the large color display.

Record Straight to a USB Stick
One highly useful feature the RSS V-Mixing System offers is the ability to record directly to a USB stick. Via the onboard .wav recorder/player you can record any two tracks (pre or post) to an inserted USB stick - every time you press record, a new file is created. Press once for the intro, and hit it again before each song - at the end of the show, pop the USB stick into your computer, and you're ready to duplicate. Plus, you can load .wav files via USB - perfect for backing tracks, playing music between sets, adding sound effects during productions, and anything else you can imagine.

Record 40 Channels Directly to SONAR
The RSS V-Mixing System and your PC are a powerful team. Using a special version of SONAR, called the Cakewalk SONAR REAC Recording System, you can record up to 40 channels of 24-bit audio direction from a V-Mixing System to PC via ethernet (cable not included)! You'll then enjoy immediate control over your audio within the powerful SONAR 7 Producer Edition environment.

Our Customers Say...

My Sales Engineer is the best. If I need it tomorrow, I have it tomorrow. He makes sure everything is in order and that I'm set up right. I've spent a lot of money at other places, too, but I don't remember them calling me to make sure everything's okay.
