Versatile preamp, classic power section Two "frequency selective" preamp voicings (called Body and Detail) give you incredible tonal flexibility, while the power amplifier is based largely on the first Marshall amplifiers to be produced, with two KT66 output tubes yielding a fat and smooth tone. A mid-boost switch on the front panel fattens the tone even more while a taditional Marshall tone control circuit enables you to fine tune your sound. Master volume and reverb A master volume gives you the ability to manage this amp's output effectively at any venue. A reverb level control mixes the onboard "plate" reverb with the direct signal, so you can make the signal as "wet" or "dry" as you wish. The reverb is footswitchable for even more onstage flexibility. Effects loop The 2266 head includes a series effects loop so you can add outboard gear to your sound.
