The Vienna Super package is an incredible collection of almost everything VSL has (minus a few small instruments). The instrumentation choices are immense.May 20, 2013 Music Background: Composer/Musician Each section provides an incredible amount of articulations and nuances of the instruments to choose from. Feels like every type of gliss, pizz, and stacc is in there. These samples are recorded very dry. They are also not "stage placed". Both of these things I find as a positive and not as a negative. It allows me to decide where to put the instruments on the stage and on what stage they go. I own MIR as well. So, placement is not a problem. I would recommend purchasing the Instruments Pro. This will give you the option to manipulate the sound to get it to fit best with your specific workflow. Being able to shit the tone of the instrument, even just a bit, can make the difference in a good sound. The Humanize, Scale editor, and cell manipulation is a must! For some people, the options and configurations may be a bit overwhelming. There is a lot of configuration that can go on. So, I recommend using/learning a portion at a time.
