I have been using VSL products for a couple years now, and I truly feel that this library really takes the cake on realism. Each of the 4 solo strings included in this library has a life of their own... read more [+]. Beautifully recorded and mixed, this library does justice to the sound of live strings. I have tried many, many other solo string libraries on the market, but none can hold a candle to what the people at VSL have created with this library. If used in tandem with VI Pro 2, the possibilities are endless. Ranging anywhere from a regular staccato to harmonic glissandi, this library covers all of the major articulations for the strings, and then quite a few bonus articulations you might not think of. I have yet to be disappointed by anything VSL has produced, and this library has made me a customer for life. close [-]

The VI solo strings are the best individual string samples that I have heard. Compared to Personal Orch., which in my opinion sounds great for the money, it really shines. I have a great friend who ... read more [+]has played violin, viola, and cello for 30 years. When he heard these strings he was astounded and a little pissed off. The library takes up a lot of memory and takes a while to load, but is worth the patience. I also noticed that even on my meager system, that once loaded, there was very little latency. Of course it is fairly cpu intensive but not as much as the Arturia Minimoog. Anybody that purchases this library will be pleased. close [-]
