Digidesign Virtual Instrument Box Set at a Glance: Hybrid Strike Structure Velvet Xpand! Hybrid Hybrid is a premium RTAS software synthesizer for Pro Tools systems that combines the warmth of legendary analog synths from the '70s with a full range of 21st-century analog and digital capabilities. The result is the best of both worlds - a virtual instrument with a comprehensive set of precisely adjustable parameters that can sound like the synths you remember or like something no one has ever heard before. Strike The antithesis of a drum looping tool, Strike is an intelligent RTAS instrument that simulates a real, skilled drummer with a well-miked kit in a great-sounding room. Using proprietary technology, Strike lets you produce nuanced performances with a precision that easily eclipses conventional sampling and MIDI applications. Strike offers unprecedented realism, control, and playability for computer-based drum track creation. Structure Digidesign's A.I.R. division has been busy. Last year saw the birth of a stunning virtual drummer, a pair of very impressive synthesizers, and a spot-on replication of classic electric pianos from the early years of rock n' roll and R&B.
