Top and bottom cymbals work with full motion capabilities, so you can use sticks and pedal for ultra-nuanced sound and dynamics.

When used with Roland's TD-20 sound module, you can convincingly create an astonishing range of sounds with the VH-12-SV: from open to closed and in between, including the essential "half open" position. And when the pedal is fully closed, adding pressure varies the pitch and decay - just like an acoustic hi-hat!
