From Our Research Team:This High-gain Amp Has AttitudeIts name should tell you that the Egnater Vengeance tube guitar amplifier head is a tonal force to be reckoned with. Sure, this two-channel, 120-watt tube amp can conjure smooth clean tones and bluesy crunch with ease, but the real mojo starts when you crank up the gain. The Vengeance is the perfect high-gain amplifier for modern rock, with a ton of gain on tap while retaining excellent note definition and clarity. And thanks to the switchable 60W/120W operation, you can drop the power of the Vengeance to get the tone of a screaming stack at a lower volume level. Bottom line, you'll rock harder with the Egnater Vengeance tube guitar amplifier head in your rig.Egnater Vengeance Tube Guitar Amplifier Head at a Glance:
Made for aggression The Egnater Vengeance is ready to pummel your audience. This 120-watt monster isn't just loud though, it's got the note definition and clarity you need to pull off lightening-fast fretwork that doesn't dissolve into an indistinct mess. You can tailor the Vengeance's attitude to suit your music - Presence and Density controls let you dial in just the right amount of bite, and Tight and Bright voicing switches on each channel are great for balancing your rhythm and lead tones. And thanks to a switchable, secondary master volume control, you can kick in a volume boost for solos to really be heard. Switch to half power and double the flexibility Let's face it, there aren't a lot of places that you can really peg a 120-watt amp and get away with it - or at least get invited back. You can drop the Vengeance from 120-watt operation to 60 watts, and get a screaming amp sound at a more reasonable volume. It's also perfect for recording, where louder is not always better. Switchable power makes the Vengeance a versatile amp for any performing or recording guitarist. Ready for life on the road Life on the road is tough, but the Egnater Vengeance can take it. Birch plywood construction sounds great and can take a beating, and the metal corners and handles are heavy duty too. And the Vengeance comes with a durable six-button metal footswitch, so it's ready to gig right out of the box. Egnater Vengeance Tube Guitar Amplifier Head Features:

Well, I just received this monster head today. Although too soon to give a comprehensive review, it's really leaving a great impression on me. I have liked EVERY Egnater amp I've ever played, and this... read more [+] amp keeps that string alive for sure. The clean channel is simply amazing, which is shocking to me as most high-gainers don't have great clean channels. My Strat with Lollar pickups is just off the charts amazing sounding through this amp. All the options give you an amazing array of tonal options to mess around with. The gain channel, it's all you have heard and more. Not just a metal monster, lots of flexibility to get all types of gain sounds. I also have a 5150III 50W head, which I also love, but this is a totally different sound all together. It's a really organic distortion, not just a buzz saw going off like some high-gainers. Reminds me a little of the Mesa Mark Series amps. It took me awhile to get a sound dialed in that I really liked, but it was an awful amount of fun getting there! Can't comment much more yet, but I can say with confidence that this is one of the best heads out there at this price point. The folks at Egnater should be commended, other companies would have no problem putting a $2000-plus price tag on an amp like this. Buy with confidence! close [-]

I've dialed in several sittings that I like. The gain is a unique sound..neither Marshall or Mesa sounding. It's really sings with open chords... Each note pops out on this amp with gain. The best part the amp is super quiet! I love the way this amp can punch out killer riffs! The notch switches on this channel really shapes it in many ways. I'm still getting the feel with the other options... But they are there if needed.. The ability to change power tubes and bias them is great! Xlr recording out... The foot switch is indeed handy and allows for kicking or dropping the mids on both channels. close [-] MIXED REVIEW...
