Customer Reviewsfrom bermuda August 31, 2011 Music Background: pro musician vox vdl1 dynamic loopera great tool for your arsenal ,... so many possibilities to create and deliver a unique soundfrom February 3, 2012 Music Background: Hobbyist Good ValueI chose the Vox VDL1 because I loved the looper and expression pedal combination - the boss RC300 is the only other system that I know of with this combination and it costs about $300 more. I can't compare the VDL1 directly to the RC300 but my impression is that the Vox is a good value. I've had it for about 3 weeks now and I'm still enjoying it and finding new features. It really is pretty packed with effects and options. The expression pedal is a really nice addition. I don't know if the auto-start function is standard on most pedals but it is also a nice touch - it automatically starts recording when you start playing so that you don't have to time the pedal just right. In response to some of the other criticisms, I think it is well-built and the controls, although complicated (because of all the features), are pretty manageable. When I used it with my digital modeling amp I did get more noise than I would have liked, but by bypassing my modeling head and just using the cabinet, the signal noise is eliminated and the Vox puts out some pretty good tones. My only complaint is a little disappointment in the bass guitar modeling. This was a feature that I thought could be really nice but the effect just isn't that good (perhaps my expectations were too high as I've never tried this effect on other processors). Other than that, I'm very satisfied though. It's a well-designed and versatile system. from Charleston, WV February 3, 2012 Music Background: Sound Artist, Musician, Loopist Vox VDL1 Dynamic Looper Fun!I was drawn to this looper when I found out it had effects and I love the foot pedal so the effects can be tweaked on the fly. I love the mayhem I can create quickly with this pedal! It would be nice if it had a way to save loops on the fly too but I mainly do live looping, nothing canned but it would be nice to save some of the wonderful creations.from LOS ANGELES, CA 91355 June 2, 2011 Music Background: Player of shows. aw man...+ Does all those crazy loop effect things.- Horrible noise added to signal. - No loop level control. - Feels cheap when you hold it. - Changing loops requires you hold one of the pedals down with your foot then pivot it 90 degrees. and hit another pedal sideways from it with your heel. Mind blowing. |
