A Modern Guitar with Classic Looks and Tones of Tone! Valley Arts was founded in North Hollywood in the early 1970s by guitarists Mike McGuire and Al Carness. Through retail, repair, teaching, and custom manufacturing services, they built a clientele that included virtually every important guitarist in Los Angeles. Although they left the business in 1993, both were working for Gibson when Gibson acquired Valley Arts in 2002. McGuire is currently operations manager for the Gibson Custom Shop and Carness is is the Valley Arts product specialist. Inside the new Valley Arts building in Nashville, the spirit of the original Valley Arts continues. The Valley Arts T-Series Bent Top guitar is hand-crafted, using only the finest materials available. Painstaking attention to detail in every phase of construction allows for an instrument of unparalleled beauty and playability. The T-Series Bent Top features a mahogany body and neck which, when paired with the Duncan Alnico II Pro Humbucker pickup, provides that thick, complex sound. Yet with the Duncan Custom Flat SSL-6 single-coil pickups, the T-Series can deliver plenty of bite and twang. From the gold hardtail tailpiece to the gold Gotoh tuners, the T-Series Bent Top is a player's dream.
