EXCELLENT ONE TWELVE

I DEFINATELY KNEW WHAT I WANTED WHEN I ORDERED THIS CAB, AND GOT WAY MORE GRIT AND PURE TONE THAN EXPECTED,ALWAYS HEARD WHAT GREAT SPEAKERS GREENBACKS ARE, AND THE TALK IS ABSOLUTLEY TRUE! I HAVE A NIGHTTRAIN 15 HEAD AND HAD IT RUNNING THROUGH AN OLD EXTRA ONE TWELVE CAB, THEN GOT THIS ONE, WHAT A DIFFERENCE IN TONE JUST SWITCHING THE CABS MADE!!! GREAT WORKMANSHIP AND QUALITY, VOX!! GET THIS CAB, YOU WILL BE VERY HAPPY YOU DID!!

Perfect fit with Night Train head

Thanks to the excellent customer service provided by J.R. Dahman, I purchased this little baby to accompany my Night Train head. This combo has become my choice for gigging and low volume practicing. My other amp is a Vox AC15 Heritage with an Alnico Blues speaker but I don't like to take her out of the house. The Greenback speaker produces great tone for rock. Not quite as much chime as the Alnico but very nice nonetheless. I can get enough volume out of this combo to work at small and medium sized clubs. Also, at low practice volumes, I can get incredible tone - even better tones at low volume than with my Heritage. Both the head and cab are extremely portable - lightweight and small. For the price point, I couldn't be happier.

Vox V112NT

Being an owner of several ten inch loaded cabs I was a bit skeptical about this one, thinking that the "Custom" celestion green back made specially for this cabinet wouldn't be in adequate for recording. After the speaker broke in it's now my go to setup for just about all my projects, with it's open back it spills chime or can unload that sought after British searing lead tone. Along with its mate the NT15, this set up is without a doubt a well thought out Vox home run. Thanks goes to Andrew at Sweetwater for the hot tips he always provides.

V112NT - Perfect Companion for the Vox Night Train

The V112NT cab is an excellent mate to the Vox Night Train. The Celestion Greenback is exactly what the Night Train needs. The enclosure is semi-open back which works well with this size cab (as well as offering secondary mic placement potential). It is clear that Vox gave careful consideration to the enclosure size – the physical size remains small, but it is capable of generating big sound. The diamond pattern on the speaker grill is a nice nod to the classic look - However, it would be nice to see it more pronounced.

Make sure you're using a good head

For the price, I think you get a pretty decent cab. Good power handling and seems to be pretty well built. Make sure you're using a good head with this one and you can get some good tones.
