James Boehnerfrom Aiken, SC June 10, 2012Music Background: Trumpet artist, Amateur Radio Operator A non-music use for the UNI-1Excellent Rack unit for multiple forms of music connectors. My use for this was with an Amateur Radio GO BOX that I designed. Amateur Radio operators have been using the GATOR rack mount boxes for GO BOXES that are deployed rapidly to disaster locations. My purpose was to install SO-239 coax barrel connectors. The holes punched out easily with a screwdriver and a gentle punch. The holes were a bit bigger than I needed, and I used 5/8 washers on both sides of the connector with excellent results.
