Customer Reviewsfrom Los Angeles, CA January 31, 2012Music Background: Music Production SolidSimple and solid. Midi hubs are not that fancy, but this one particularly jumps out because of 2 things:1) Up to date easy to install drivers for Lion 2) Midi Thru. I love this feature. With midi patch bays going the way of the Dodo, this feature is great. I can use my master keyboard for my DAW, or switch to Thru and control my rack synths, without even turning on the Daw. Very Handy. from October 1, 2011Music Background: Musician It works on Windows 7 64 Bit and Cakewalk X1cJust upgraded studio hardware and software, but ran into periodic issues with previous midi interface. Previous interface drivers didn't yield consistent results so I purchased the UM-3GInstalled latest drivers for the UM-3G, connected everything and so far no issues with disappearing midi information, or midi drop out. The unit is very light and compact, which can be good or bad depending on its location in your studio. The two in the back, one in front design doesn't seem to balance out well when all connections are used. In other words, it doesn't sit well on top of some surfaces. I think the midi ports should have been located in the rear, but hey I don't design these things, just use them. Great unit for the price, and once again it works on Win 7 x64 and Sonar X1c
