Got this based on advice of my Sweetwater Sales Engineer. Very nice unit, works great with my Yamaha controller. Be sure to follow the detailed instructions in the manual on setting background process... read more [+]ing priority in Windows ... I got clipped notes until I made this change. After that, no problems (and no latency issues, at least in my setup). One key feature: it has both an "advanced driver" mode (you must install the driver) and a "driverless" mode. In the driverless mode, the operating system's built-in drivers are used. This worked for me with both Windows XP and Linux (Ubuntu 6.06). It was nice to find something that was plug-and-play in Linux! I was recording into Rosegarden in minutes. close [-]
