I use this microphone on a weekly basis for presentation venues.October 4, 2006 Music Background: l This microphone sound nice and is quite quiet for it low cost. the range seems to be around 100' (Unblocked) and does not... read more [+] drop out when used with a diversity receiver.; The battery is a 9 volt battery and has a great standby time and allows the microphone to be used for 6-8 hours straight before the battery needs to changed. one draw back to the LX line of shure microphones is the fact that you cannot use more than 5 microphones at a time. also you need to check your local TV stations to make sure you will not get interference. but other than that this microphone which uses the SM-58 capsule is a very nice, robust and useful microphone. close [-] Also popular
