The solidbody Kala U-Bass line is amazing! They have tons of low end, and the tone reminds me of an upright bass. Definitely a great tool for a bassist on the go!

very cool little bass

I bought this from Sweetwater about a month ago. I originally wanted the accoustic/electric mahgony version after reading the great reviews and seeing some videos on youtube. Iwas getting a little anxious waiting for the backorder when I saw they came out with this model. I debated whether to spend the extra money for this solid body not having heard it yet. I took the plunge and I'm glad I did. This thing rocks! It sounds great and is much more comfortable to play around on with its solid body. The hardware is top notch. Electronics too. The poly strings take awhile to stretch out, but they eventually hold their tune. This little rascal is a ball to play and so convenient. I love it. Good stuff!
