Customer Reviewsfrom Buffalo, NY July 24, 2012Music Background: Producer/Engineer/Educator/Performer. Universal Audio never disappoints.Universal Audio never disappoints. The UAD-2 Duo Core was up and running, with all my purchased plug ins from my desktop system, within 15 min. No artifacts or bugs in the audio. I was also pleased to find out that the UAD satellite systems will run right along your pcie equipped desktop computer for increased processing power. What a bonus! Thanks UA and thank you Sweetwater for your assistance in capitalizing on the UA promotion for this wonderful portable rig.from Boston, MA July 14, 2011Music Background: Musician Great recording toolI wanted something mobile and powerful. I got it. I like UAD stuff and have a UAD-2 PCIe card so I knew the quality of the plugs already. I am a happy UAD customer and support Sweetwater's business for my music needs because they go out of their way to provide customers with their gear with a great combination of support and quality. Best online store for music gear, bar none.from Wichita, KS September 5, 2011Music Background: Recording/Live Sound Engineer, Musician The missing ingredientAdding this unit to your gear arsenal is a must. Extremely accurate emulations of excellent analog gear makes any track sound polished. i purchased the Duo Core and it works great for my rig, but definitely go with the Quad if you have the cash. UAD has great deals on plugins all the time so it's really easy to save on great EQ/Compressor/Reverbs. I like being able to have the unit dashboard running with my DAW so I can see how much processing power is available and make sure nothing crashes on me. The processing power this unit adds to my projects is great, the only con I can think of about the Duo I have is that it can't run quite as many simultaneous plugins as the Quad can, but it's easy to work around that by getting your settings where you want them and then printing tracks with the effects and moving on. Since I've been using this unit, I don't look at my mixes and think that there's something missing anymore. This fills in all the holes and makes any track sound 10 times better.from Muncie, Indiana October 11, 2011Music Background: Engineer, Producer, Drummer Issues with Liquid 56Although I love this box, trying to use it with the Liquid Saffire daisy chained is torture. It randomly stops working/freaks out with gross digital artifacts even during mixdown. When I use my built in output or m-box, things are working swimmingly, but that means I have to sacrifice using most of my favorite outboard gear along with the UAD.
