Universal Audio UAD-2 (QUAD Neve) Reviews
After owning a UAD-1 for a couple of years I am so excited to see this card come to market! More DSP is always a good thing, but when the plug-ins are of this calibre it's great. This is like having how many UAD-1 cards in your system? Did you see how many Neve plug-ins can run on this 4-chip card?!

fantasticfantastic. Have had it for about 1.5 years and its working flawlessly in my Mac Pro. Have about half the whole plugins line in addition to the bunch that came with this card (watch for the UAD plugin sales)

A must have if you're seriousThis is a must have if you're serious about taking your sound to the next level. Let's face it, all of us are trying to get that "it" sound we hear on the radio or on commercially released material. While this is not the only necessity for you to get there it is an important step. You cannot buy the real boards for anywhere near this price even now.
The presets are awesome and there are plenty of them stock. I use it in Logic and it is ultra easy to install. There is a learning curve with how the plug ins operate unless you were fortunate to have used the real ones before. It makes the "digital" sound now have a very warm and clean analog sound. Hearing is believing.
On a final note just keep in mind that when you buy the Quad Neve you are paying more for the quad processing power than the plug ins per se. After listening to the demo plug ins a part of me wishes I would've taken the plunge and got the Omni as it comes with 35 plug ins that I now see myself purchasing as soon as the demo mode runs out. It would've saved me a few bucks but you won't be disappointed with the quality and ease of use with this product.
