The plugs on this card are just amazing. My genre is alternative rock and country, so drums, bass, guitars, vocals and a B3 are my stock in trade. Everyone knows that the classic hardware (1176LN, LA-2A, Pultecs, Neve 1073 EQ, EMT 140 Plate) is a must for this music, but I just didn't have $15,000 laying about. I mix "in the box" with DP5 on an apple and the UAD-1e works better than if I had a rack full of vintage gear. The sound is as good or even better than some vintage units I have heard. It's really the best of the best in terms of quality and usability. I had to buy another card to get the level of DSP I wanted, but that's only because I run these plug-ins on most every channel and then put the Fairchild on the Master bus. I can't get enough!
