This is the processing I use most, along with waves. I've used it on quite a few records and have nothing but praise for the comp/limiter emulations, as well as the Pultec eq. Nigel I could do without, and it doesn't make it onto my mixes. The reverbs are excellent, 140 and dreamverb--both.

I have been using a UAD-1 for the past year or so, and it has definitely taken my mixes up a notch.

The reason you should opt for the Ultra Pak is simple -- THE PLATE 140. It is absolutely the most amazing plug in reverb I have ever heard.

Beyond the Plate 140, I use the LA2A and 1176 like crazy. The emulations are so close to the real thing it's insane.

Since owning the UAD-1, I couldn't imagine going back to native plugins, just because the quality of these plugins is just so high. I am a completely satisfied customer and I reccommend the UAD-1 to all my friends.

I have of these in my main rig and wish there wasn't a 4 card per system limit. The plugs are AWESOME!!! The PC's CPU can breathe!! You won't regret getting MORE than one of these.. As a matter of fact I would advise at least 2. More processing power with two or more..
