The plugins included really expand your ability to turnout some nice projects without taxing your CPU. For a home studio the UAD-1 Studio Pak will take to you to the next level when you start mixing ... read more [+]and mastering. The vocal tracks (which to me is the weakest link in most home studios ) on my projects improved to "pro" quality once I started using the UAD-1. I thought I was lacking the $2000-$3000 mics, compressors and preamps to make my vocal tracks sound professional, but the UAD-1 fixed all of that. The Fairchild 670 plugin was almost worth the price alone! I am so impressed by this product. It's installed in my Sweetwater Creation Station Pro which is equally impressive. Because the UAD-1 improves your tracks so much I must re-mix/master all of my projects! If you're looking to improve your projects by purchasing new gear (i.e. mics, outboard gear, PC/Mac) you should strongly consider the UAD-1 Studio Pak as it will probably be the most cost effective. close [-]

I bought the project pak first and liked it so much that I bought the Studio Pak the next month. I still use my waves plug ins along with the UAD plug ins but there is a very noticeable difference in ... read more [+]the sound that the UAD plug ins bring to the table. Adding the UAD plug ins to my mixes bring my quality up to mastering standards. When I go to a mastering studio and listen to my mixes on their systems I can truly hear the UAD plug ins giving me that poished "radio ready" sound that so many home based studios strive for but seem to not achieve. Well with the plug ins from the UAD Studio Pak you can achieve that polished "radio ready" sound. close [-]
