A must have for the price!!!!

I bought this mic used, but wanted to post a review on sweetwater since I normally order from them. This mic sounds amazingly clear and even if you use it in a room with piss poor acoustics this thing filters the echo right out of the room. I still have to do minor 2db editing to fix level issues, but it's very minor, especially when compared to the cheap shure ksm27 mic i was using before the U89. The difference between the two mics was not even funny once I compared them. The clarity you'll hear when you use the polar pattern filters is top of the line on the U89. It almost sounds already E.Q.'d before I even begin mastering the track. I still suggest using a mastering E.Q. with it though, in order to get that real big studio sound everyone's looking for. I would recommend this mic to anyone looking for that big studio sound at an affordable price. It'll make you sound good even when your not performing at your best. No other brand comes even close to neumann when it comes to microphones. It's just that simple.
