Premium sounds plus new Super Articulation 2 voices Yamaha's Tyros3 features an incredible 1,540 voices, giving you the sonic tools you need to maximize your creativity. In fact, Yamaha has even enhanced the acclaimed sounds from the Tyros2 to offer more expressive piano, guitar, and drum voices, to name a few - and there are now onboard synth voices inherited directly from Yamaha's flagship MOTIF synthesizer. But, perhaps most notable of all - there are 11 new Super Articulation 2 voices included, all created with Yamaha's cutting-edge Articulation Element Modeling, for an extremely natural sound. A wealth of onboard effects Adding to the Tyros3's sonic flexibility, it features tons of effects, including studio-quality reverb (42 types), 106 choruses, and more. What's more, the Tyros3's sophisticated multi-processor effect system is extremely easy to access - you're always just a button-push or two away from giving your sound that extra level of dimension. Genre-spanning accompaniment styles When you want to jump-start your creativity, just call up any of the Tyros3's 450 styles. These Auto Accompaniment styles each feature three intros, three endings, four variations and four fills, so you can quickly lay out and play an entire song. The styles span virtually every genre of music. Plus, there is a new note transposition system that keeps note-based tracks, such as guitars, still sounding great when you shift the style into various keys. Performance-enhancing control sliders plus a TFT screen Playing expressively means you not only need great sounds, but you also need an easy way to navigate between them and full-on control once you've found the voice you want - the Yamaha Tyros3 provides all three. To navigate between sounds - or any function, for that matter - just take a look at the exceptionally large TFT display. It provides at-a-glance information on all settings, and nearby buttons and a data entry dial give you complete navigational access. There are also eight sliders just below the display that let you conveniently adjust all parameters shown on the display - you can even use an additional "Assign" slider to assign any function you want, such as volume or reverb, and control it in real time during your performance. And when you are using an organ flutes section, you can use the sliders as drawbars. Flexible input and output options with 2-track hard disk recording When it's time to solidify your creative ideas and lay out a song, the Tyros3 makes it easy. A 16-track/30,000-note sequencer is right onboard. A microphone input and guitar input are included, so you can add vocals and other instrument parts to your tracks. What's more, there's even a two-track hard disk recorder, so you can record your performances to two audio tracks - Main and Sub. A Bounce recording feature lets you mix down previous takes and record as many tracks as you like, one by one. All performance data is saved as a WAV file of CD-quality 16-bit/44.1kHz resolution. You can also connect up a USB storage device, export the recorded data, then polish your tracks to perfection using your DAW. Internet-capable for adding new songs and styles While the Yamaha Tyros3 is powerful as is, you can easily expand on the amount of styles and songs you have available. Just connect the Tyros3 to the internet - either directly by ethernet, or by using a USB wireless LAN adapter. Yamaha has a special website that you can access by pushing the "Internet" button on the Tyros3. From there, you can use the Tyros3's buttons and display screen to navigate through the website, audition songs, and purchase data - it makes expanding your Tyros3 both fast and easy.
