Customer Reviewsfrom Ontario Canada June 7, 2011 Music Background: Former Pro Musician, Engineer, Composer Sticks Like Ball and ChainNeeds and applications vary earlier this year I decided it was time to Auralex my room. Admittedly I was stumped with what method of adhesive to use. In this area I'm a bit finiky and elected to go with the Auralex Tubetak Pro after talking to my Sweetwater Sales Professional. To say the least I'm very happy that I chose this product once applied to the Auralex Tiles it was a place and push and forget about it. I did an area 10.5' x 25.5' and would have been finished the same day but ran out of Tubetak. I could have ordered locally but the mystery of delivery prevailed. So instead I ordered what I thought I'd need from Sweetwater. The ease of use with Tubetak is incredible all you require is a pile of newspapers a caulking gun and your in business. Tubetak does not set-up right away this leaves you time to stand back and look at your lines and correct what might be a little off center. A fantastic product just like the rest of the product line from Auralex.from Portland, ME April 2, 2010 Music Background: Post-Production Sticks to foam! This product is amazing! I went through a whole bunch of double-sided tapes and tacks before I finally conceded to this and a caulking gun. I attached egg crate foam to the inside of my closet door at home, and I never had any sagging or peeling issues. I will say, once I finally had to remove the foam, much of the tubetak remained on the door and had to be razor'd off.from Satellite Beach, FL May 25, 2012 Music Background: Audio Engineer Good stuff but time consumingMy first install of 1sgft, open cell foam, Accoustic tiles. 1400sgft to cover and at 32sgft a tube that would take 43 tubes at $350. Unfortunately I had trouble with using a spray on adhesive which stuck for a few days on the ceiling and then the tiles fell down one by one. Luckily I did a spot job for test. I next went with the Auralax Tubetak and it works. My only complaint is the amount of time it takes to apply the adhesive with a chaulk gun. I found a Black and Decker battery powered chaulk gun which has proven it's worth as when you try to manually pump all day long you end up with strained arm muscles. Even the battery powered takes to much time and muscle. There needs to be a faster way and easier way of applying the adhesive. Other than that, I am very pleased with how Tubetak holds, I live next to the ocean with high humidity. |
