Do your homework first...

Studio foam does a poor job of absorbing any low or mid frequencies, which are the ones that cause the most problems. These will kill the high frequencies and leave your room sounding dead. You could get similar results hanging a few blankets. These are glued on your walls. When it's time to take them down you have a fun drywall/paint repair job to do. I didn't do my homework and paid the price for it, don't make the same mistake.
