Customer Reviewsfrom Indianapolis, IN January 15, 2013Music Background: Pro musician Stupendous tone! The Vox Time Machine Delay is a near-perfect onstage delay. The tap tempo function has so much range, the right delay time is always available in seconds. Both modern and vintage sounds are wonderful - it produces a perfect "Under a Blood Red Sky" type of sound, or a very convincing "Money" tone. This delay does eat batteries, so a 9-volt adaptor is recommended, but if you just want to rock onstage, you will love this thing.from USA March 20, 2012Music Background: Lifelong singer/guitarist/songwriter with years of engineering. Favorite All Time Delay PedalFrom vintage slapback to modern, pulsing endless overlays ~ in over 45 years of playing guitar, this is my favorite delay. I held my breath when I ordered this, since I didn't see a lot of raving about this sleeper. It does not disappoint... and is very easy to dial in a multitude of great sounding delay and echo tone. The level control is real sweet. All the way down it's straight signal, and as you bring it in it's as natural as can be. Very sturdy build and doesn't occupy as much real estate on the pedal board as some I've had. I prefer to run my delay out front instead of through the loop. Sounds great on both clean and naturally driven amp tones. The Time Machine is a keeper.from Yakima, WA January 15, 2011Music Background: Musician Finally the perfect delayI have used just about every delay pedal know to mankind and I have always struggled with getting the perfect delay until I bought this pedal. The Time Machine is easy to use and very easy to dial in the perfect delay that you are looking for. Tap tempo a must while on stage.from Chicago, IL June 22, 2009Music Background: Guitarist AWESOMELove at first listen. Best echo I have ever owned. Gets ANY delay sound you can imagine. Trippy. Eats batteries real quick though. Must get the 9V AC adaptor.from Space Coast FL March 8, 2010Music Background: 30 years performing / sound / recording Great PedalSimply the best delay I've ever used for live work. Delay is one of the most used effects on my board from short slap to longer times. For me the "vintage/lo-fi" setting is so transparent and pure sounding. There are so many ways to use the tap tempo that dont belive any other single delay would satisfy my needs any more. I recomend this pedal very highly.from San Diego March 5, 2009Music Background: Professional Guitar Player, Pro Musician Great delay pedal! well made, great featuresHigh Quality delay pedal. However The tones are limited, there's not much difference between the hi fi/lo fi options, or the modern /vintage options. they are very very subtle.my favorite feature is that you can tap 1/4 notes and get back dotted eights (triplets). Also (unlike the DL4) when you activate the pedal it is seamless. no digital glitch or hick-up in your current playing. its a great addition to the DL4, but not versatile enough to be my only delay. I only use it for the triplet feature. from United States March 6, 2012Music Background: Hobbyist colors your toneThis changes your tone for the worse whether it is on or off but it's not terribly noticeable unless you sit around like me and then it will bug you. It's hard to find a delay that is totally true bypass apparently.
