The Select Thinline Telecaster is a member of Fender's new Select Series. Gorgeous, great-sounding gloss lacquer finish
The Fender Select Thinline Telecaster wears a gorgeous gloss lacquer finish. Lacquer finishes - standard back in the '60s and '70s - are significantly thinner than today's polyurethane finishes, allowing the guitar to "breathe." Lacquer finishes not only look vintage-y wonderful; they also enhance the instrument's tonal qualities.

Quartersawn neck provides rock-solid stability
The neck is one of the most important aspects of any instrument, which is why the Fender Select Thinline Telecaster features a quartersawn maple neck. Besides looking good, the straight grain of quartersawn necks is about 50% more stable than plain-sawn necks, and less likely to warp, twist or shrink. You'll also love the playability and feel of the Select Thinline Tele's contoured heel when you're playing higher up the fretboard. Down low, your fretting hand will appreciate the compound radius that keeps things nice and comfortable for natural, relaxed arpeggio work across the entire fretboard.
