Customer Reviewsfrom Philadelphia, PA January 5, 2012 Best Gig Guitar Ever! This guitar is well made, light weight, versatile and good looking. The option of hum buckers or single coils make it a great gig guitar or for someone that wants a wide pallet of sounds from one instrument. I saw some reviews complaining about the hardware not being first class, considering the cost, the hardware is in line with other manufacturers. You can always upgrade the hardware later and I may do that at some point. The fret board is fairly flat with a 15 inch radius, make sure your OK with that, before you buy.from wisconsin May 8, 2011 Music Background: semi-pro/hobby/street musician love at first sightmade in indonesia, if it was made in america it would cost 3 to 4 times more.the body and neck aren't as thick .the top is CARVED. the way the neck joins the body is a dream come true when you play( a set neck). the jumbo frets & the thinner neck make it feel like a guitar with power steering when you play. the pick-ups are dynamite. the bridge(pearly gates) pick-up is pretty HOT. I took a screw driver & raised the pole pieces closer to the strings on the bridge pick-up, it's sounds close to a lap- steel pick-up now. the tone control & pick-up switch gets good clear sounds. the volume control is close enough to the strings to either get in the way sometimes or do easy volume roll offs. this isn't a regular-sounding tele.think zz top/albert collins. the tuners & bridge look weak. i just tightened the bushings on the top of the tuners & i tightened the bridge plate. the tone control wiggles because the coil tap pot is there. it would work for me if there wasn't a coil-tap. this is a really good looking guitar.from Albemarle, NC June 29, 2010 Music Background: Semi pro musician An Awesome And Versatile Guitar! This guitar is excellent. I used to be a Les Paul fan until I got one of these. Now this is my go to guitar. I can get Les Paul chunk and Fender twang out of the same guitar. Also, it is much lighter than a Les Paul. Im all for made in America, but the build quality and playability of this guitar smokes the American Strat I had. I also get tons of comments on the look and tone of this Tele. I can't say enough good things about this one. Fender got it right with this.from Hanford, CA March 31, 2011 Music Background: Hobbyist Fender Spalted Maple GuitarWhen I first saw the guitar that came to my house I was elated. It is such a beautiful guitar. I changed the strings to 10's and the took it to my local guitar guru to have intonation re- adjusted and inspected.I still have some problems with the "G" string staying in tune but it's not as bad as when I first got it. The only other problem I had were the string trees were loose and had to do a minor repair for them to tighten. Now to the sound and playability. This guitar sounds great and is easy to play. It has lots of sustain. The way the pick-ups are wired give you a lot of options with different sounds. It is money well spent. from AZ USA January 13, 2012 Music Background: Part time musician Great guitar with some upgradesPro's - beautiful and no flaws. SD pickups provide a wide tonal range coupled with the coil splitting capability. Very comfortable neck and great sustain. Like the neck design versus a bolt on neck. It is light and feels good with great balance.Con's - do not like the hard tail bridge. When you lower the action the adjustment screws protrude out from the bridge and are a bit uncomfortable so I will replace the bridge soon. Did not like the tuners and replaced with Fender/Schaller locking tuners. This is a good guitar and with a few additions will be a great guitar. from kingston, NY February 24, 2011 Music Background: Im a Guitar Player. Almost PerfectThe best part about this guitar is the set neck & humbuckers. Its a beautiful guitar, nice binding, the spalted top is sweet, the humbuckers sound great....the tuners suck.....the bridge could be better, the graphite nut is cool. Fender should just do it right and upgrade some parts &charge an extra $200, it would be well worth it! but anyway, these are easy mods to make yourself.Once again the set neck is a work of art, and I wish all my Tele's had it..... from Rustburg, Va January 2, 2011 Music Background: Pro Musician Great GuitarI got this guitar back in July 2010. I have been completely satisfied with it. The neck is very fast, it holds tune, its light, & the pick-up combinations give you a large range of tones. With split coils you get Fender type tones, the humbuckers give you a Gibson type tone. It sounds great no matter where you adjust the tone knob. With the tone wide open you have a bright sound that cuts thru a mix well, you can turn the knob all the way down & get a usable muddy sound. I am a heavy string bender & this guitar holds tune very well. My only complaint is the volume & tone knobs. The volume knob is very tight & the tone knob is very loose. I rate it high for its sound & playability.
