I expected better quality from Primacoustic- I've heard good things about their stuff-but this thing is trash. Bad design, bad quality.March 13, 2011 Music Background: Media Producer The threads on the adjustment collar are poorly c... read more [+]ut and the tension ring to hold the phone in place is difficult to adjust -I even put some silicone lubricant on it, and that helped, but not much- the thin screw that attaches the cradle to the ball joint comes loose, and it is so thin, you don't want to put too much torque on it to tighten it- it looks like it will break easily- so the iphone doesn't really hold in position all that well. Lastly, the clamp that holds on to the mic stand is really poorly engineered- it is stiff, feels like you are practically breaking it to install it, and is not easy to remove and transfer to another piece of hardware- If you are going to put this on one stand and leave it, fine. but if you want to move it around (say, after a gig or rehearsal) forget it. You have to take it off the stand because you don't want to pack it in a stand bag for transit- it will be toast-which is fine, but the way the clamp is engineered, it is so stiff and difficult to adjust, it is a major PITA (pain in the.....). The thing feels cheap. It is difficult to adjust, and basically lame. you are probably better off with some velcro and one of those little music stands that clamp on a mic stand. I did find a few clamps that the sell to mount your iphone to a bicycle, so maybe I'll check them out (they are also half the price. Not worth it. Piece of junk------------ close [-]
