Customer Reviewsfrom Saudi Arabia December 5, 2007 Music Background: Musician Awesome GuitarAlways loved my Tele's. The JR signature is off the hinges though. The active EMG's are hot at full volume and rolled off. The action is predictable and is great, as is with all Tele's. First thing I did was change the strings to a set of Everly Way Lows (12-60) for drop tunings the reset the intonation. Had to do a little work on the nut for the big strings to keep them from dragging but it worked out. Got mine in Black but will get a white one as well when it arrives. This is my first MIM Fender but the craftsmanship is good.from Austin, Tx January 15, 2008 Music Background: Started playing guitar in 1959. Semi-pro, with studio experience. Jim Root Tele - Excellent ValueI paid $40 for a setup, and the guitar went from "good" to "Great". Required Truss, Intonation, etc. -- but once it was set, it's hot. Normal chording yields shades of Tele-town. Punch in on a solo and the EMG's are hot with overdrive, but no brittle distortion.
