A Surprisingly Satisfying Guitar

I have always enjoyed the Telecaster and the Stratocaster each for their own voice and merits. But this Blackout Tele is special from the tones to the appearance ... very solid and I particularly like the neck feel of this guitar (and the aged tint of the maple)

After many months of ownership: I enjoy this Tele more the longer I have it. If you like both the Strat and Tele and can't decide, I highly recommend you try this one out. I cut my teeth on a Strat and thought that is what I wanted but I also like Tele's. When I found this one, I found a Tele that can definitely go into "Strat Territory". Sure it is not a Strat, but I have to say that it may be the next best thing to having one of each. Consider adding the very inexpensive push-pull tone control mod that allows you to invoke the neck pickup on demand (for that classic Tele bridge/neck combo tone) and then you will have one very versatile and enjoyable Fender guitar.

i have owned this for a year now,and she is still sharp as a razzor. plays just as well or better---as my tele 72 reisue,and my tele with the jason lollars.

Among the Best

I have played many guitars and this one rivals even the Les Paul. It has a larger price tag than the standard Tele but the added pickup and gorgeous all black body makes it worth the extra dinero.

Wow!! This guitar rocks. For the money this is a great guitar. It looks beautiful too. This unique setup is great. You can get more sounds out of this tele. This is my 2nd guitar I bought from sweetwater and they do a great job taking care of you. I would definately recommend this guitar. Very good quality.

More than satisfied.

This telecaster is great. There are a great amount of tones available with the 3 pick ups. One can go from chiming single-coil sound to a clear and monstrous roar. The construction and quality of the instrument is what you would expect from a Fender instrument. It is perfect for the intermediate player. It has awesome looks too! The deluxe Blackout is a welcome addition to any guitarist's arsenal.
