If you like both the Strat and Tele and can't decide, I highly recommend you try this one out. I cut my teeth on a Strat and thought that is what I wanted but I also like Tele's. When I found this one, I found a Tele that can definitely go into "Strat Territory". Sure it is not a Strat, but I have to say that it may be the next best thing to having one of each. Consider adding the very inexpensive push-pull tone control mod that allows you to invoke the neck pickup on demand (for that classic Tele bridge/neck combo tone) and then you will have one very versatile and enjoyable Fender guitar. close [-] great tele

i have owned this for a year now,and she is still sharp as a razzor. plays just as well or better---as my tele 72 reisue,and my tele with the jason lollars.

I have played many guitars and this one rivals even the Les Paul. It has a larger price tag than the standard Tele but the added pickup and gorgeous all black body makes it worth the extra dinero.
