Beautiful Tone, Great Price!!!!

You really don't have to spend a lot to get great tone. All the tele sounds and more. I have some very expensive Fenders and Gibsons, I originally bought this guitar as a beater guitar but its tones are sweet, and the neck feels so nice. So nice in fact that I that I find myself playing this guitar more than the others. The things I don't like, not much, the tone knob is very limited and abruptly changes at about 8, and there was an indent in the finish, (not damage). But it has the cutaway on the back, and personally i thought the Red with the Rosewood fretboard had a more expensive look to it. Adjusting the pickup height, you can really tweak the tones.

I can't put it down

I received my candy apple red Fender Blacktop Telecaster HH yesterday, and I have hardly been able to put it down. It's beautiful; it plays very well right out of the cardboard box; already in tune. I've played the 8 songs I know over and over! The sound from the two humbuckers is intoxicating to me... the finish on the body and neck is excellent - the only thing wrong, which is MINOR, was a misaligned volume control which I fixed with no problem by loosening set screw, adjusting, and resetting the screw. The plastic protection over the pickguard had some gouge marks on it, but they don't go thru to the pickguard itself, and will be gone when I peel the plastic away. These are minor things - and the value is just excellent for this guitar. If I could find a sky blue one, I'd buy another one of these before the inevitable price increase, as this guitar is more than worth what it costs now. I could almost give it a 5 rating, but I'm no music expert and it did have the two minor things that QUALITY CONTROL should have caught. But this is probably the best guitar of its type for the money out there right now... heck, buy one, I don't think you'll be unhappy - you can sure make some music with it! And it looks good, too...
