Customer Reviewsfrom Kansas City, KS, USA May 28, 2012 Music Background: Hobbiest-Medium Player FANTASTIC GUITARI have owned several guitars and amps over the years. I am always searching for something that can give me a little more dexterity (or more options) in my playing styles. The Godin LGXT (multi-voiced/synth guitar-they sell on Sweetwater, too) was my most recent choice, coupled with a Roland VGA-7 modeling amp, several years ago. It was very useful, but the guitar was HEAVY! That was probably my biggest complaint about the Godin. Very heavy, close to 14 pounds, if I remember correctly! And the Roalnd Amp didn't have enough bass tones for me.As for the Fender Acoustisonic... What an awsome guitar! It covers both acoustic & electric playabillity. Very impressive. I saw this guitar on You-Tube almost 2 years ago, and wanted to buy one. But I waited. The tone on the acoustic side are beautiful, and an acoustic amp does the trick, With a flip of the switch, you are jamming away in great rock sounds. But most of all, it can emulate BOTH sounds at the same time! That's the difference between this and other multi-voiced guitars. It's almost flawless in appearance, what a beautiful piece of work by Fender! The attenion to detail is great! It is lightweight, stays in tune. I do wish they had other color choices But hey, it's a tradional Fender color scheme. This one will be in my stable for years to come. You can't go wrong with this one, it is SWEET! from St. Louis December 30, 2010 Music Background: Semi-pro original Americana for 20 years Great guitarMy acoustasonic telecaster came yesterday. I tuned it up and put it right to work. This is a great guitar. I played it against my friends Parker fly that costs almost double and the acoustasonic clearly out performed it. It is the best bang for the buck in a hybrid. I played the T5, Ibanez, Godin and Parker. The Aura preamp makes the package Wollongong with the stereo outpup, you won't go wrong.from Wilmington, DE September 16, 2010 Music Background: Musician Great acoustic soundsI've experimented with a bunch of hybrids, looking for just the right combination of acoustic and electric tones and Fender has finally nailed it. Sounds best when using the supplied Y-cable running to both acoustic and electric amps. It's uncanny how natural the acoustic tones are and of course you can get standard Tele sounds as well. All in all a very versatile axe. I really enjoy the blend feature through both amps. It fills the room and sounds very spacious. Set up and played well out of the box. Tried lighter gauge strings, but it definitely took away from the acoustic tones. Went back to the factory 11's. This will not replace my Taylor, but when you need to do a gig and only want to haul around one axe, this will do the trick. It's great to get acoustic tone with the flip of a switch, then go right back to electric.
