Customer Reviewsfrom CA December 13, 2009 Music Background: touring band Amazing guitar, even better with a few minor upgradesI'm so very happy with this guitar. It arrived from sweetwater with a perfect action and intonation. It plays like a dream. The sound is very full and warm, and really sounds great when complimented by a good amp. The neck feels pretty fat, but it's grown on me.As for cons, there are few and they're really easy to overcome. The tuners are very touchy. The thing stays in tune VERY well (surprises me every time I play), but it can be difficult to tune in the first place due to the low gear ratio on the "vintage style" tuning machines. Upgrade to a better tuner if it bugs you. Personally, I just got used to being a little more careful when tuning. When I was researching the guitar, I saw that a lot of people change out the volume pots for 500k pots. The 250k pots the guitar comes with cause the volume control to be more of an on/off switch than a volume control. Anyway, not a necessary upgrade I don't think, but you'll get a lot more tonal options with a better pot. The gig bag it comes with is terrible. Might as well wrap it in paper. Also the new strings it comes with must be changed immediately. All in all, great price, great sound, and sweetwater really did a great job getting it to me in such excellent playing condition.
