Customer Reviewsfrom Dallas, TX March 12, 2012Music Background: hobbyist/hack Versatile Tele that's comfortable to playI want to start by saying that I have the black '69RI Tele Thinline that my rep, Brendan Murphy, was kind enough to order for me. I can't do sunburst or natural. I think I'm allergic to both of those finishes.I'm relatively new to guitars and after buying/selling several, this is the most comfortable guitar I've ever played and it sounds great. I know Teles have the reputation of being twang machines and you can have that with the '69 Thinline if you want it, but the neck pickup can really warm things up and the combination setup is solid. Feedback is minimal and only occurs when I use multiple delays and my Rat clone together. It's super lightweight, too. The only shortcoming of this guitar is the tuners. Staying in tune isn't an issue, but getting there can sometimes be a hassle with these tuners. They just aren't very precise and that can cause tuning up to take longer than it should. Even with the crappy tuners, I'm very happy with my Thinline Tele in terms of being a great-sounding and comfortable guitar to play.
