Customer Reviewsfrom Saco, ME December 19, 2011 Music Background: Ihave been performing with local bands for over 30 years. Fender 60th Anniversary TelecasterThis is my first tele purchase, although, I have owned several Fender guitars throughout my life. The instrument was perfect upon receipt from Sweetwater. I used it at a gig yesterday and received a few compliments on the looks and sound of this guitar. This was also my first purchase from Sweetwater, and, they were great to deal with from beginning to end. My sales engineer, Mark Maxwell was a real pro , and, folowed up with a call upon the receipt of my order. Great customer service! from NEW Mexico USA May 9, 2011 Music Background: Hobbyist Expectations ExceededI started out with Squier Classic Vibe Tele's which are really nice and then I got a Japanese Fender Pink Paisley and thought WOW this is even better than the Classic Vibes. It had a fat neck and just felt different. Then I got this 60th Anniversary and I was floored. The pick-ups sound soooo good and this guitar just feels really good in my hands. It is basically an American Standard with the thin nitro finish, ash body, and 60th anniversary neck plate. So far this is the best Tele I've played. Everything is perfect on this guitar, I won't change a thing. It does comes with a humbucker route in the neck (I looked under the pickguard.) I don't see myself ever getting rid of this guitar. I have 19 electric guitars and this is #1!from toronto, ontario March 1, 2011 Music Background: hobbyist,23 yrs playing WHAT A BEASTjust picked up this beauty today, spent 2 hours in the guitar store trying every thing from gibsons, prs, taylors, this beauty just fell into place, sounds great with that tele sound, great for country, blues, rock, and much more . finish absolutly beautiful no flaws at all. intonation great and easy to play as are all fenders. well woth the money people . buy one you'll not be sorryfrom Indiana October 1, 2011 Music Background: Praise and Worship,40 years picking,Luthier. Plenty of vibeTaking this guitar out of the case is a joy. The tinted maple neck/fretboard is mildly flamed, beautiful. The set-up is very good right out of the box.Unless you do your own tech work ,this can be a big deal. The sealed tuners are smooth. The description I read before purchasing read."We started with a single solid plank of ash". I was disappointed that it is a 2pieece body but having said that, it is still awesome to hold. The finish on the body looks like limed shellac,it's lacquer though, beautiful. If your out to buy an American made telecaster, you already know what sound your looking for. This guitar delivers in tone and plenty of vibe.Tilt adjustment on the neck angle,neat.9.5" radius, just enough to keep your bends from choking while still feeling vintage. The chrome looks deep like you want it to.The traditional bent steel saddles are a twangy touch.Comes with a nice strap and some picks.Only 2 cons as I see it Shame on whoever promised the single solid plank of ash,and just a little static in the neck and middle positions generated when fingers stroke the pick guard .Is it any better than the American standard model? I'm not sure,It does cost a little more so its kind of pricey. The 60th anniversary model has plenty of vibe, I love it.
