A '52 Tele from the Fender Custom Shop! The Fender Custom Shop has been building dream guitars for the cream of the guitar crop for nearly 20 years. From faithful reproductions of classic axes of the past to fully tweaked customs built to an individual's personal specifications, few instruments command the level of respect afforded Fender Custom Shop models. There are degrees of Fender Custom Shop models: Stock Team-built and Team-built Custom. A select few instruments are handbuilt by the Master Luthiers, the same luthiers that build custom instruments for the likes of Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, and Merle Haggard. Now the Fender Custom Shop introduces the '52 Heavy Relic Telecaster 2008 Limited Edition. Fender Custom Shop '52 Heavy Relic Telecaster2008 Limited Edition at a Glance:
Body This Fender Custom Shop creation features a premium lightweight ash body with a single-ply black pickguard. The one-piece 10/'56 "boat neck" soft V-shaped maple neck has a tinted nitrocellulose lacquer finish and 9.5"-radius maple fingerboard with 21 Dunlop 6105 narrow jumbo frets, black dot position inlays, wide 12th fret spacing, bone nut and a button string tree. Electronics and finish Classic Fender tone is supplied by the Custom Shop "Twisted" Tele single-coil neck pickup and a Custom Shop Broadcaster single-coil bridge pickup, with three-position switching and a modern wiring circuit. The instrument has a Nocaster Blonde thin-skin nitrocellulose lacquer finish and has been given our Heavy Relic treatment-built from original tooling and showing the natural wear and tear of years of heavy use, with nicks, scratches, worn finish, rusty hardware and aged plastic parts. Other features Other features include '52-style dome control knobs, a barrel switch tip, chrome hardware, Fender/Gotoh vintage-style tuning machines and an original vintage-style Telecaster bridge with three brass saddles. Accessories include a deluxe limited release blonde hard-shell case with red crushed velvet interior, strap, cable and limited edition certificate.
