I ended up ordering this mixer after trying two different Mackie PPM608s. After getting a second unit and finding it to be WORSE than the original, I gave up on Mackie and decided to get the Samson TXM16. Unfortunately they weren't in stock, but the TXM20 was, and since I needed it ASAP to play out, I went for it. I had good luck with an older Samson powered mixer that I still have for a practice room, and figured I'd give them a try in a bigger unit. I have NOT been disappointed. I used this unit to play out last Friday night and it performed awesome! Got lots of compliments on how clear the vocals and my acoustic guitar were coming through. The board is laid out in a very easy to read and understand manner, and I had no problems making adjustments on the fly. The only thing that I think could be a little better are the on-board effects, but they are OK. My sales engineer (Jon Gillespie) and Sweetwater were awesome to work through these difficulties with, and had this new board in my hands in a very professional and timely manner. I ordered a Lok-Tight Pro Double-X stand to place this on, and it is rock-solid. close [-]

I frequently get compliments from audience members about how good it sounds, and the gals love how well the monitors work for them. I also like that this mixer provides both 1/4" and Speakon output connectors.November 8, 2010 Music Background: gigging musician & live sound tech, with a humble home studio. I appreciate the main insert jacks too, since I like to utilize an outboard compressor. I use the input signal LEDs to balance the vocal mics. My only criticism is with those LEDs. I have to almost max out the input gain to get a usable visual indication indoors. Outdoors, in bright sunlight, the LEDs are almost useless. close [-]
