The TTXUSB is a solid turntable that works great for recording, live mixing, and even better for using with Serato Scratch Live, M-Audio Torq, and any other digital vinyl solution. While there are lots of "old school" turntables on the market worth looking at, the Numark TTXUSB is everything a modern DJ is looking for and more. The Numark TTXUSB is a high performance turntable perfect for a DJ or everyday average user wanting to listen to or transfer old vinyl. (Since it doesn't come with a cartridge, I'd recommend the Shure M44-7 for high skip resistance and high output.)
