  Great Value
by Sean H from Annapolis, MD USA, November 2007
Music Background:  keyboard hobbyist

I was pleasantly surprised with many of the sounds on this board. Korg's Triton series (on which the TR is based) gets a lot of criticism for their pianos, but I am satisfied personally. In my opinion, these pianos don't sound any worse in a mix than any other romplers'. I mean, maybe if you were planning on performing a classical recital with it than it wouldn't fit the bill, but why would you by ANY workstation for classical piano solos? There are also plenty of organs, guitars, strings, drums, and more synths/pads than I know what to do with.

If I had to name any negatives it would be polyphony and number of effects but those are two things that us keyboardist are never satisfied with. Two less significant, nitt-picky things are that the sounds don't sustain on a patch change and there are no user locations to save sounds to without overwriting factory sounds.

Korg had done it again. This is best low end keyboard so far. Its a great imitation of the Grande versions(Studio, motif).new sounds, user friendly prefer it to the new Yamaha MO series
