Cannot believe I'm the first to review this brilliant pre! I personally own and use this pre; for many, many years it has given me much satisfaction. I also own most of the other 'top shelf' pre's on ... read more [+]the market: Neve, API, Manley, Tube-Tech. The TPA-200B, to me, has a sound that none of these other pres captures...ESPECIALLY on bass, WOW! Two channels of incredible sounding pres for a solid price. It isn't cheap...but it's worth every penny! It also shines on vocals and kick drum...but truth be told...I've used it on just about every instrument I've ever tracked. This pre is a perfect fit in both an analogue or digital setup...you will not be disappointed! close [-]

Used this pre in a session a couple days ago tracking an indie-ska band. Ran the bass through a d.i. and to this pre. At first it didn't sound too special, it was pretty warm but not that big. So I hi... read more [+]t the pad on it so I could get some more gain and character from the pre, and thats where this thing really started to shine. I got a HUGE & very warm bass sound when I really pushed this thing to the limit. So if you want something that can really warm up your sound and give it character, this pre is great. close [-]
