Trace Elliot Speaker Cabinets

Trace Elliot cabinets are fitted with specially designed Celestion speakers inside and come in various configurations. All the cabinets are tuned with central or bottom unobstructable slots for well controlled bass response. The tuning of the cabinets was orginally carried out using scientific equipment and computer controlled manufacturing processes to ensure consistency and quality through out the range.

Trace Elliot 1048H
The Trace Elliot 1048H is an 800-watt speaker cabinet with 4 x 10'' specially designed Celestion speakers and a high frequency variable attenuation horn. Other features of the Trace Elliot 1048H include 2 x speakon and 2 x 1/4'' jack connectors on rear. The cabinet has been tuned with central unobstructed slots to 40Hz to give a great, controlled, low frequency response.

If you were ... read more [+]only going to buy one cab, it would be tough as all the new trace cabs sound great, yet this might be the "one" if you were going to deny yourself the simple pleasure of having multiple cabs for different occasions. Stop one of your vices and buy any of the new Trace gear, everyone that hears you will rethink their old coffin cabs.

I will say it again, if Trace would do any kind of advertising, their stuff would be on almost every stage. close [-]

But that is what also gives it a great sound- you cannot get a tight, solid, focused bass sound without some good mass in the speaker cabinet. I have a large array of bass amps and this is also my "go-to" cabinet for recording. Mic'd with a D112 and blended with some direct tone gives me an extremely versatile and mixable sound. close [-]
