Music Background:  been playing nearly 35years.....HomeRecording is my thing right now

I have a home studio and acoustic drums was not happening @ 1:30 a.m.(everybody's asleep but me) Talked to Evan Gilmore bout the Roland V-Drums, bought 'em, tried them now for approx. 2 1/2 month's and I think this little kit is a fine addition to my home recording studio. I'd reccomend this Product and have to alot of my musician friends.

Music Background:  Drum teacher

I'm a drum teacher from Tacoma, WA. I bought this drum set because I wanted a flexible and low-profile kit for students to play during their lessons. I've been quite happy with the drums, though the hi-hat pedal is a bit of a dissapointment. It isn't particularly realistic in the way it triggers open and closed hi hat sounds, requiring the pedal to be all the way down to achieve a closed hi hat sound. On acoustic pedals one doesn't need to push the pedal down nearly as far to achieve a closed or slightly slushy hh sound. Unfortunately there isn't an "in-between" sound on the TD3 in this critical area.But overall I would recommend this setup as an ideal entry-level set for a student who needs to practice with the volume turned low. Ideally, an inexpensive acoustic hi-hat pedal could be added to address the above concerns.

This drumset is the best drumset ever!!!
I bought this with my own money(I am only thirteen).Sounds excellent!!Good pads aswell!!

This kit will be too small for most drummers,
but for location where space and sound levels
are limited it is a great value. The pads are
better than earlier versions and the drums
sound surprisingly good. It's a great midi
controller set up that you can move with one hand.

Nice kit! Sounds great. I bought it for my son as a graduation gift. We only put it up today and I am amazed at how well it sounds. I had fun tryying to keep up with Alice Cooper's current drummer and the drummer from Green Day. Thank God for iPod and V0drums the kid will be pounding on these while I sleep or drink me tea in piece!
