Try it on everything!

Been using just for overheads. Captures the entire kit, so you may have to EQ out the low end if you just want to capture cymbals, etc. You could easily cheat and just use 3 of these. Recently I wanted a wierd looking mic for a YouTube video. The TC20 captured the sound so well none of us could believe it. A live sound engineer showed me how fantastically well it can reject sound from the rear. Basically point at what you want to capture and be impressed.

SRO earthworks

This conderser mic is IMPRESSIVE! I especially like the Omnidirectional polar pattern. I play flamenco guitar and was turned on to this by Spanish flamenco guitarist Vicente Amigo. He uses this for recording and you will know why when you try it out! It kicks any condenser mic's butt in its price range and $200 more! Get it. Earthworks are incredible.

Great on my Djembe

I was using this only as my In Ear Monitor ambient mic, but wanted to try it for recording so I used it on my Djembe first. Gets all the slap and skin tones with the lows evenly balanced. I think this will work equally as well on my acoustic guitar. Why does such a small mic sound so darn BIG!!!
