Been using just for overheads. Captures the entire kit, so you may have to EQ out the low end if you just want to capture cymbals, etc. You could easily cheat and just use 3 of these. A live sound engineer showed me how fantastically well it can reject sound from the rear. Basically point at what you want to capture and be impressed. close [-]

I was using this only as my In Ear Monitor ambient mic, but wanted to try it for recording so I used it on my Djembe first. Gets all the slap and skin tones with the lows evenly balanced.
