Enhanced Workflow

SmartSwitches
Set up the Avid System 5-MC to be your dream machine with 56 programmable SmartSwitches. Each SmartSwitch has an integrated LCD display that shows their function. You can assign them to specific DAW functions, or you can even assign complex macros for a lightspeed workflow. A high-resolution touchscreen, placed above the keyboard, gives you instantaneous selection and setup of many features including file management, track selection, soft-key setup, system preferences, mixer layout, and much more.

Channel Strips
System 5-MC is expandable from eight up to 48 channel strips, depending upon your studio's needs. Each channel strip features eight touch-sensitive knobs, and one 100mm long-throw, touch-sensitive, motorized fader. Next to each fader are two LED meters to display levels and automation. You can easily see metering, EQ, pan, routing, and more via the high-resolution TFT display at the top of each channel. And the System 5-MC lets you control a staggering array of functions with the eight touch-sensitive rotary controls.
