Moog's Touring Modular Synth is Back!

The Moog Model 15 is a reissue of Moog's original touring synthesizer, the Model 15 - and only 150 of these Limited Edition models will be available worldwide. Recreated from the integrated Tolex-covered travel case to the smallest hand-soldered component, this modular synth bring old-school subtractive synthesis to a new wave of composers and performers. In all, the Model 15 comes loaded with 14 fantastic, handcrafted modules, including a trio of oscillators and the 907A Fixed Filter Bank, which puts a massive amount of sound-shaping power at your disposal. There's a ton of sound design potential in the Moog Model 15 Limited Reissue. Three Moog oscillator modules, with support for oscillator sync, allow you to create some truly huge patches, with ample sound-shaping from two envelope generators and two voltage controlled amplifiers. A noise generator module with pink noise and white noise outputs completes the selection of sound-generating modules. The 995 Attenuator module allows you to increase or decrease the gain of control signals or audio signals for creative effect. In all, the Model 15 Limited Reissue provides 14 outstanding synth modules and virtually unlimited patching options.

A unique module from Moog, the 907A Fixed Filter Bank in the Model 15 synth allows you to carve up your tone into discrete frequency bands. It features eight fixed filters, plus lowpass and highpass filters, each with their own level control. Manipulate the knobs in real time to create evolving, atmospheric soundscapes, or layer the filter bank over a base oscillator to emphasize specific timbres. It's up to you to decide how you want to use it, but once you start turning knobs, you'll realize the 907A Fixed Filter Bank is an incredibly versatile synth module.

Hand built to the original 1973 Moog factory specifications, each Model 15 is as true to its vintage forerunner as it gets. To get everything perfect, Moog engineers spent over three years pouring over the original documentation and rediscovering circuit board and art for every module. Given the limited run and Moog's dedication to authenticity, each module in the Model 15 has been hand stuffed and each component hand soldered using traditional wiring methods. Finishing touches include photo-etched aluminum panels and vintage-style cabinetry that bring the whole experience to life.
